Clean Sludge the Right Way

I used some HOT sauce my pops brought back from sint maarten to clean the sludge off my road bike. Actually used WD40!! I really don't clean my bikes much anymore. No time. I clean the road bike even less. Yeah SS rules. Anyway, the sludge was so bad a rag wouldn't get the goop out of cassette. Cardboard no go either. WD40, more sharp objects into cassette and pulleys then repeat, then wet lube was applied. Done....sludged up black re-lubed ready for more sand & road salt attraction tommorrow. Monday night was gritty good times! Ah, the Florida weather would be nice.....
Had a great time in Florida with the kids. D-world to Keys, waves to restuarants all good.
Other notes. Scored some really sweet simple mechanical brake levers from Origin8. I like these type of levers. These are similair to my kcnc's but harder steel. I'll be careful not to snap. Light!
This cassette will break before it even gets sludge on it. 137grams must try? What 2 races, maybe.... Not a sponsor just taking the risk with this item.
So we got our box of sludge from Hammer. Sometimes I think gatorade, pb&j, honey then milk and cookies would do just as well. Do like Hammmer though. Who ordered strawberry? I forget. Crank bros pedals should arrive soon. White industries the bestest sponsor all hubbed out. Hubs worked great on the winter fatty bike for our team.

Pugfestive

Leo's boots still got soaked. Sledding & snowballs all day, plus burning his snowpants by the fire. Yesterday was all day on the backyard luge. He's beat. I'm feeling ok, not too shabby, suffered good mid-lap 2. I ended 4th in pug, 6th oa. Not bad for 2 rides a week. My Pug mental cam. Off the start Goat powered into hole shot, & with studded pug tires blocked Josh, Brendan & I. He said he would. Josh snuk by in moto, Bendan and I over final moto mound. Into the woods Brendan and Josh we're sketchy until we all settled. Brendan and I got by Josh early in lap 1, and lap one ended with that order. Second lap Josh went by me after under bridge by runing up the steep twisty. The sloppy conditions kept me close to him for a while, then Josh started to separate. In sec4 I cauaght & passed Josh up powdery climb. Pirate was near. I led Pirate into sec1. Pirate passed me. Then I passed Pirate. In sec1 battling to maintain, again Josh ran by Pirate & I on a hike-a-bike. I was toast. I let Pirate go by to chase. Pirate got by Josh. It was Brendan, Pirate, Josh, then I for 4th. Good battle today, hike-a-bike & early season toasting 4 me. Wahoo!! results

Snow What!

It was just a few days ago I had that twinge here, tweak there. Knee, dimple, tri, ham or gangle pain twinge. Ussually I get those when the snow is gone. Actually every year I twinge somewhere - early season. Today was stellar in many inches of powder on 2 wheels. To work, then after work bike had three inches all over it. Even the spokes were piled in spoke'y formation O'snow. No pic, darn it! Then from work to school, then home after class. Snow what! Many fine spins indeed with no twinge. What ever had to get was sweated out no doubt.
