Leo was hesitant to ride Duncan's old Haro 13.5in XC. So last time no go on big wheels. This time after some father son seat & stem adjustments Leo said ok. Big wheels. We rode past the closed gates this AM to x loop then past tracks to Fox log, did bmx rollers thrice and back via Mary Hills. Then 3 laps at Theo for Leo. Duncan and a friend (who rde to Theo from the house) we're having a great day too. Leo rode the skinny twice! I took the boys o sun valley single track back to humane society. Back to car by 55. Leo and the boys kicked it good. Fast like a red sports car. Watch out for sqrl jr and especially flying sqrl. He likes it. Hillside 6-8 laps on Sunday for me.......

Buck Hill & Ragnarok
After the suffer of 100+ gravel miles O'Rag I'm looking forward to Buck Hill. 2010 Buck Info Yep, an hour of all out sounds good right now. But alas, my legs are toast!! !
My results at rag not the best this year. The Rag site has some pictures linked too. One heck of a great day!!!
Going up the first climb with leaders bionics we're missing. Last year on SS 3 KOM's climbs we're mine scored 3rd in KOM, not this year. The bridging back to the lead pack got harder & harder after each climb. At one point while in the second group I saw the leaders and took a hammer for'em. I was flying but took a wrong turn down a 1 mile hill. Whoops. Once back on course I passed 3 groups and one solo finally settling in with Drew. He pulled me for many miles. He took a nice crash going from pavement to dirt. I almost ran him over. The crash forced him out as later as he was going backwards? Last 25 miles or so I went solo ending 14th just under 7hrs.
Lagging race results are no surprise. Last 5 weeks with Rag inclusive legs have seen five 4hr+ rides, half on gravel, all but one on SS, near 9 hr weeks consecutively. Before these said weeks weekly totals we're 4 hours at most. The legs we're telling for last few weeks to back off. But riding is so much fun!!!!! Welcome sunny days ahead. Rest week.....

12 Degree Wind
Yeah, it was cold ash this AM. So glad I went with thick neck gator & extra pile shirt layer. Low 20's & lots o wind made the icey lakes long route way to work route chilly! But hey! No worms, skeeters or bees to distract the peaceful thoughts and sunrise. Best time of year for solo rides. RIDES, a thing you do for fun. I think a repeat is in order.....

Festive Are We Squirrel's
I'm doing to Cheq's & a Rag this year. Almanzo might be too much for Mom to handle. Anyway we are all in for the Fall WI Classic. Momma, Jr. Grey, Red, all in. Other news. Jr. too big for 13.5 inch HaroXC. He going to sport a Misfit Psycles small. It's going to rule sister. Pics later. Yes, I'm riding plently. We'll see. Gotta go, must finish homework then off to school via 8's.

No Freeze Fun
Saturday, Sunday & Tuesday rides went well! Saturday 1.5 hrs around lakes & local. Sunday to White Bear Lake then Stillwater then back to Saint Louis Park. Hooked up with Bianchi on his roadie for the Stillwater tour. Thanks Keith! Tuesday headed accross Mendota bridge then back home via Lillydale, the high bridge & greenway. The rides we're wet at times but without freeze! Fenders rule when sky co-operates. Biking in Minnesota without freezing temps always good regardless of rain. Spun the SS at 44x17, and must say the quiet SS simplicity was abosolutley revitalizing. The draining rides, seeing an Eagle by the river and the sights always good too! Welcome spring!

Clean Sludge the Right Way
Other notes. Scored some really sweet simple mechanical brake levers from Origin8. I like these type of levers. These are similair to my kcnc's but harder steel. I'll be careful not to snap. Light!
This cassette will break before it even gets sludge on it. 137grams must try? What 2 races, maybe.... Not a sponsor just taking the risk with this item.
So we got our box of sludge from Hammer. Sometimes I think gatorade, pb&j, honey then milk and cookies would do just as well. Do like Hammmer though. Who ordered strawberry? I forget. Crank bros pedals should arrive soon.
White industries the bestest sponsor all hubbed out. Hubs worked great on the winter fatty bike for our team.
